Project Summary
Polikarpov Law Firm provides end-to-end legal support for one of Ukraine’s leading UAV manufacturers. The work covers the entire lifecycle of intellectual property — from the moment of creation and documentation of ownership rights (inventions, utility models, trademarks, designations, know-how) to structuring license agreements, royalty schemes, rights transfers, and defending rights in case of violations.
The project includes:
- Patent filing for core technological solutions (inventions and utility models)
- A global trademark registration strategy in over 20 jurisdictions (Ukraine, EU, US)
- Legal formalization of know-how, including technical information not subject to patenting
- Development and implementation of contractual frameworks covering:
- product development and design,
- transfer of rights from engineers and creators,
- royalty payments and remuneration schemes,
- engagement with manufacturing partners,
- protection of confidential materials
- Drafting and implementing intellectual property terms in contracts (e.g., who owns the IP created under an engineering or production agreement, what gets transferred, and under what conditions)
