How is the extension of the terms of legal protection of objects of intellectual property rights in Ukraine due to martial law?

During the period of martial law, the running of the terms related to the protection of IP rights is suspended.
If the period starting from February 24, 2022 and during the period of martial law expires, the period of legal protection for objects of intellectual property rights falls), in this case it is possible to take the actions necessary to extend the validity of protective documents (certificates, patents) within 90 days after the cancellation of martial law, without the need to pay additional fees for missing the relevant deadlines.
During the entire period of martial law, the corresponding rights remain valid, and may be renewed in a general manner after the cancellation of martial law.
